The OpenQuake scenario calculators can be used for the calculation of damage distribution statistics or individual asset and portfolio loss statistics for a portfolio of buildings from a single earthquake rupture scenario, taking into account aleatory and epistemic ground-motion variability.

The OpenQuake volcano calculator can be used for the estimation of damage distribution statistics or individual asset and portfolio loss statistics for a portfolio of buildings starting from hazard footprints.
The following four hazard perils can be considered:
  • Ash fall
  • Lahar
  • Lava flow
  • Pyroclastic density currents

For Ash fall, the ash load in kPa is considered as the hazard intensity. The other perils are assumed to be a binary phenomena.
